First and foremost Szedi is a child of God. She is infinitely Loved by her Lord, just as each of us is.
Szedi is the middle child in a family of 5. Her unique name reflects her mother’s Hungarian heritage and is as special as she is. She shared her life with her four siblings-Sam, Szofi, Iza and her youngest bother, Andrew-whom she loves dearly.
She is athletic, intelligent, funny, and wonderfully goofy. Her love of sports is likely fueled by countless days spent on baseball field cheering for and spending time with her brother. Standing nearly six feet tall. with bright blue eyes, long legs, and beautiful blonde hair, Szedi is hard to miss. More often than not, her hair is pulled back in a ponytail as she raced from school to home, sports practices and every adventure between.
Szedi is well liked by everyone who knows her. She loved animals – especially goats, which now inspires the foundation logo in her name. She has a passion for travel, fishing and just about anything that allowed her to be outdoors. Growing up in the country gave her endless opportunities to explore, and she took full advantage of them. Whether she is outside with friends and family or driving the side-by-side a little faster than her grandfather would have preferred, she embraces life with enthusiasm and joy.
Family is at the center of Szedi’s world. She is blessed with a large, Close-Knit Family and spent much of her time moving from one house to another, making memories with cousins who lived next door.
Most importantly, Szedi loves her faith. She loves church, reading the bible, attending church camp, worshipping, and singing. Her relationship with God is an important part of who she is. In fact, just an hour before she passed away, she was placing her belongings in preparation for church camp. She left this world only about an hour after she registered to attend.
Through her time on earth was far too short, her impact will continue to be felt for generations. Her legacy will live on through the foundation that proudly bears her name, reaching those who are hurting, struggling and searching for hope in a world that can often feel dark and overwhelming.
Through this foundation, Szedi’s light will continue to shine-offering encouragement, support, and a reminder that no one has to face life’s challenges alone.
To anyone who may be hurting: you are not alone. You are loved. There is hope. There is healing. And there is peace found in Jesus Christ.
May Szedi’s life continue to point others toward faith, love, compassion, and the promise that even in our deepest sorrow, God remains near. Her story does not end here. Her legacy lives on in every life touched, every heart encouraged and every person who finds hope because of her memory.
