Szedi's Seat is a special tribute created in honor of Szedi's life and legacy.
Every 40 seconds, someone dies by suicide—leaving behind an empty seat.
An empty seat at the dinner table.
At family gatherings. In the classroom. At a game. Among friends.
Szedi loved sports. Whether she was on the field, in the stands, or cheering on her classmates, she was always part of the action.
Today, her empty seat reminds us of the countless lives lost to suicide and the loved ones left behind.
Szedi’s Seat is a visual reminder to listen, love, and be kind. It encourages us to check in on those around us, recognize that silent struggles are real, and remind every person that they are seen, valued, and never alone.
By partnering with schools, teams, leagues, and sporting organizations of every size, we hope to raise awareness, inspire conversations, and help prevent suicide—so one day there will be one less empty seat.
